The traditional technique of Korean Buddhism, seon-meditation, has been practiced from great master to generations.

This method of studying with a buzzword is a traditional trainning of representing Korean Buddhism and performing and devoting themselves to Buddhism.

This is called the "whadoo", for example, "Is this?" is my constant awakening and fundamental question.

Where did I come from? And where will you go?
You are constantly asking yourself with these questions.
And also, this is also a way to observe "something" that asks such questions.

This program is a intensive course program, and conduct a international crew for long time meditation or seon-meditation for over six months.

It is accompanied by a Buddhist head-monk in this temple who gives a basic dedication for eight hours a day with seon meditation.

Once a month, we get a reservation for less than 20 people.

Da-Seon (Tea Ceremony)

It is one of the meditations to practice of mindfulness and concentration through brewing and drinking tea. Tea and meditation are the same that is why it is said Da-Seon-il-mil. When you drink tea, your five senses work at the same time. Your eyes see the color, ears hear the sound of water, nose smells the fragrance, the tongue tastes the flavor of the tea and your hands feel the warmth of the cup.



What to prepare more 2nights

* A uniform ( a vest and pants ) is provided during the stay.

* What to bring : toiletries, a personal water-bottle, loose clothes for sleep, an extra t-shirt, sneakers, and socks.

NOTICE : Remember that a sleeveless T- shirt or flip-flops are not recommended.

It takes 30 minutes to Gurae Station(구래역), and transfer to Bus No.70 for Ganghwa Bus Terminal
▶ Use exit no.2 of Gurae station, It takes 30 min. to Mokbigogae bus stop (목비고개 버스정류소). Buses leave every 30~40 min.

A-2) From Dangsan Subway Station, Line #2 (당산역) to Lotus Lantern Int'l Meditation Center.
▶ Use exit no.2 of the station to take the Bus No.7000 for Gurae Bus Transfer Center (구래환승센터)
It takes 30 min. Buses leave every 15~20min. and transfer to Bus No.70 for Ganghwa Bus Terminal
▶ Use exit no.2 of Gurae station, It takes 30 min. to Mokbigogae bus stop (목비고개 버스정류소). Buses leave every 30~40 min.
Mokbigogae bus stop ID no.[43-272]. It takes another 10 minutes on foot to the temple.

A-3) From Shinchon Subway Station, Line #2 (신촌역, 지하철2호선)
▶ Use exit no.4 of the station and walk down 300 meters to the bus stop. It takes 90 minutes to Ganghwa Bus Terminal
▶ Take the Bus No.3000 for last stop, Ganghwa Bus Terminal. Buses leave every 15~20min.

A-4) From Hapjeong Subway Station, Line #2 (합정역, 지하철2호선)
▶ Use exit no.9, 10 of the station to the bus stop. It takes 80 minutes to Ganghwa Bus Terminal
▶ Take the Bus No.3000 for last stop, Ganghwa Bus Terminal. Buses leave every 15~20min.

A-5) From Songjeong Subway Station, Line #5 (송정역, 지하철5호선)
▶ Use exit no.1 of the station to the bus stop. It takes 60 minutes to Ganghwa Bus Terminal
▶ Take the Bus No.3000 for last stop, Ganghwa Bus Terminal. Buses leave every 15~20min.

B) From Yeongdeungpo Subway Station, Line #1 (영등포역, 지하철1호선)
▶ Take the Bus No.88 for last stop Ganghwa Bus Terminal. Buses leave every 15~20min. It takes 90 minutes to Ganghwa Bus Terminal
