■ BULGUKSA TEMPLESTAY - A UNESCO World Heritage Site Bulguksa Temple has been listed as a UNESCO Heritage Site and is the essence of Korean Buddhist culture in the 8th century. Bulguks holds seven national treasures including the famous Seokgatap and Dabotap pagodas and Cheongungyo and Baegungyo bridges. The stairs at the Anyangmun-Gate and Jahamun-Gate particularly display the power of the Silla kingdom and culture.

The Templestay at Bulguksa Temple is an opportunity to learn about Buddhism and the dignified Silla Dynasty. Experiencial Templestay give participants the opportunity to learn about the cultural assets at Bulguksa Temple. Participants will get the chance to practice meditation, 108 prostrations, etc which will lead to introspection inside yourself and find the true self.

The Templestay accommodation is located 5 minutes drive away from the main temple because Bulguksa is a World Heritage Site. All the programs are conducted inside Bulguksa Temple except learning temple manners and sleeping. Bulguksa Templestay vans are available during the program.

If a date cannot be selected, it means that the program is either fully booked or not operating on that day. We are unable to accept reservations for dates that are not available on the website.

○ Journe into Mind - 2 days & 1 night program - 108 prostrations with making a 108 prayer beed, Temple etiquette, Temple tour, Temple meals, Evening buddhist ceremony, Spinning around Pagodas, Enjoying the night view, Meditation, Seokguram Grotto Temple Visit(temporary program).

○ Cultural Experience - 2 days & 1 night program -  Buddhist Dance Perfomance, Temple etiquette, Temple tour, Temple meals, Evening buddhist ceremony, Spinning around Pagodas, Enjoying the night view, Meditation, Seokguram Grotto Temple Visit(temporary program).

** The schedule is subject to change depending on the circumstances(seasons, weather, numbers of participants, Temple events or any unexpected matters.)
** Please note that templestay may be cancelled if there are less than 10 participants.

A uniform (vest and pants) will be provided.
Please bring:
Personal toiletries
Towel 
Spare clothes
Easy on/off sneakers
Socks and a top with sleeves
(Short sleeves are fine. Please avoid sleeveless or low-cut tops, especially for women — a vest will be worn over it.)
Outerwear (for mountain weather)
Personal water bottle (optional – bottled water is also provided)

○ It is difficult to get train tickets in the spring and fall, so make sure to book in advance.
