Welcome to Guinsa templestay

Korean history cannot be separated from Buddhism. It has been a national religion almost over 1,000years in history. If you want to know about Korea much deeply, it is good to visit & experience in Buddhist temple.
Among countless numbers of Buddhist temples in Korea, Guinsa temple is regarded as the largest one. We have the largest numbers of monks, and the largest capacity as well. Other Buddhist temples in Korea are usually located on the plain site in the mountain, but Guinsa is located in the valley of Lotus sanctuary of Mt. Sobeak that is national mountain park. For that reason, 40 buildings in the temple are gather with high density in the narrow valley. So it really looks like a village, not just a temple.

And Buddhism is actually not something kind of a ‘religion’ normally. Buddhism is all about ‘myself.’ Who do we believe is myself, who do the practice for goal is also myself, and who is going to be enlightened is also myself. Buddha is not an absolute divine being, but our teacher. So who we have to meet in the temple is yourself for sure.

Guinsa temple is opened for everyone who wants to be happy & inner peace. No matter you have different nationality, religion, race, gender, job, whatever. If you want to be happy, you are always welcome.
